## Identity & Mission (use for: what is Bakame, who founded it, what does it do)
- Bakame AI (legal entity: Bakame AI SAS) is a voice-first AI infrastructure company
- Delivers language education, civic information, and other essential services by basic phone call across the Global South
- No internet connection, smartphone, or app is required on the user end
- Founded by Happy Herman Niyorurema (CEO), Mame Diarra Niang (CSO), and Emmanuel Victor Mucyo (Head of R&D)
- Operational headquarters: Fort Worth, Texas (USA) and Kigali, Rwanda
- Core mission: stretch the frontier of AI to realize the promise of education in underserved and unconnected regions, starting in Africa
- The offline-via-telephony delivery model is Bakame AI's primary competitive moat — not a workaround for the Global South, but the next frontier

## Products (use for: what does Bakame build, how does it work, how to access)
- Bakame AI is the company. Bakame Aviation is one product line. These names are not interchangeable.
- Bakame Aviation: voice AI platform for aviation cadet training, live at aviation.bakame.online (DID 229201520). Cadets authenticate via auto-generated PIN on signup.
- Bakame's voice-first education stack powers large-scale language-learning deployments over ordinary telephony, delivered in local languages.
- Delivery channel across all products: standard telephone call — no app or internet required on the user end.

## Pilot 01 — Rwamagana, Rwanda (use for: deployment results, impact data, evidence)
- Window: 27 July – 31 August 2026 (one month, Rwamagana, Rwanda)
- Scale: 81 enrolled learners, 1,671 call sessions, 179 hours of recorded voice interaction (96.6 hours student speech)
- Methodology: every call recording was independently regraded by six open-source speech, grammar, and language-assessment toolchains with no prior contact with the Bakame system
- Headline results from the independent regrade:
  - 76% of learners spoke measurably faster (median +10 words per minute; Cohen's d = +0.62; p < 0.0001)
  - 65% made fewer grammar errors (d = −0.45; p < 0.01)
  - 90% produced more topically-aligned responses to tutor prompts (d = +0.42; p < 0.0001)
  - 60% had measurably steadier voices (classic phonetic markers of growing vocal control)
  - 69% of learners classified by an independent CEFR level predictor moved up at least one proficiency band
- A companion technical report documents the full Complexity–Accuracy–Fluency+ methodology, statistical tables, limitations, and reproduction commands.
- Pilot 02 is scheduled for Q1 2027 with a matched comparison cohort.

## Technology (use for: what technology does Bakame use, AI models, infrastructure)
- Core architecture: proprietary Bakame Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) dialog model, in-house Kinyarwanda ASR pipeline tuned for low-bandwidth call audio, latency-optimized for 2G networks and feature phones
- Deployment hardware: on-premise NVIDIA GB10 Blackwell GPU workstation (DGX Spark, 128 GB unified memory)
- Kinyarwanda LoRA fine-tuning is active for Rwanda deployments
- Third-party foundation-model names and cloud vendor identities are not disclosed in external communications; Bakame uses the terms "Bakame MoE" and "in-house STT" in customer-facing materials

## Clarifications & Common Misstatements
- Bakame AI is the company; Bakame Aviation is a product line. Do not use these names interchangeably.
- The Rwamagana pilot is referenced on bakame.online as Bakame's own deployment. In contexts referring to Isomo's donor-facing or government-facing materials, the voice AI tutor is branded "Ijwi" rather than Bakame; however, this llms.txt covers only Bakame-brand communications.
- Bakame AI is a university-founded venture led by current and recent students; it is not an incumbent telecom carrier or ed-tech vendor.
- The company is based in both Fort Worth (Texas, USA) and Kigali (Rwanda). It is not a Silicon Valley company.
